The Queensland Government has officially announced that the Toowoomba Showgrounds will be upgraded to a world-class equestrian centre and will serve as the official venue for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. The project, announced by Premier David Crisafulli, represents a total investment of AUD 54 million and marks Toowoomba's growing role on the international sporting landscape.

According to official press releases and media reports, the upgrade project will receive more than A$54 million investment,include:

  • Expanded cross-country equestrian routes
  • Establishment of new stables and supporting infrastructure
