The Queensland Government has officially announced that the Toowoomba Showgrounds will be upgraded to a world-class equestrian centre and will serve as the official venue for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. Equestrian Queensland (EQ) Describing the move as a "transformative opportunity," it not only addresses Queensland's long-standing lack of top-tier equestrian facilities but also creates long-term economic benefits for the region. EQ Chairman Brett Cantle stated that the center will become a core venue for national and international equestrian events, while also fostering community participation, volunteer development, and the preservation of equestrian culture.
